I have a SoftRock Ensemble II receiver and a side by side comparison test produces nearly identical results with the Lazy Dog just a bit better.

Those of you waiting on a transmitter module, it is worth the wait. I got one of the last TX modules and I am very pleased with my LD-1B2 receiver and transmitter combo. New to the Lazy Dog Receivers? Of the SDR radios out there, the Lazy Dog Series is among the very best.

A couple more comments. I found an old ball point pen with a metal ink cartridge and sharpened the open end of the cartridge on a grinder, then used it as a punch to make the new hole in the diaphragm. Made a nice neat hole so the diaphragm laid flat afterward. Also, should have clarified that the 180 degree rotation is around the axis of the part, as if it is rotating like a wheel.

Great job of documentation! My pump appears to be exactly the same, but when i did the mod, got no vacuum. The missing piece is to turn the blu plastic thing 180 degrees before reinstalling it. That reverses the positions of the check valves, making the inlet into the outlet.
Also you can do one side only, have one providing pressure and one vacuum.

I don't know that there is a difference. I've looked at the specs, and they appear identical. They look identical on the outside. I think the 1095 comes with a remote control, and maybe other goodies as well. I will ask if anyone on the Yahoo! Softeock40 group knows, the Creative X-Fi soundcards are mentioned there regularly.

I just saw your earlier comment and was about to ask if you had installed CFGSR and copied ExtIO_Si570.dll to the HDSDR install folder. Obviously you realized that you hadn't done that, and when you did it everything ostarted to work.

Bob's problem was different. He installed everything on a 64-bit computer, and found that ExtIO_Si570.dll wouldn't load because it la lacked a digitally-signed libiusb driver. In this installation the libiusb driver is never actually used, but ExtIO_Si570.dll has to be able to find it before it is loaded.

Hi Peter,

I sent in a VERY similar report yesterday. I have also fixed it. I am running 32 bit WIN XP and was getting the same error on startup. The website:
http://pe0fko.nl/ca/
fixed everything. I followed the obvious links and downloaded the 32 bit version of libusb-win32 and run the results.

The error disappeared and HDSDR works. I can enable TXmit in HDSDR (select the mic input and radio output) I get RF out on LSB (just trying 40 meters) and CW. Not enough RF to start my auto tuner. I will rehook the MFJ manual tuner (which has RFOut meter this weekend.

I went to the Control Panel and removed Lazy Dog Engineering, then HDSDR - did not remove the USB driver. I installed HDSDR first then

opened the LD-1B and removed the transmitter board.

Went to the Lazy Dog director and ran LD1Conrol ... went to file then Update firmware.
ran USBBootloader & the LD-1TR hex file. All goes well then RESET.

Installed HDSDR 2,15 ... and reassembled the TXmit board. Still haven't pushed it back into the case!

Ran HDSDR & the LD1Control pops up with an error message "Unable to load ExtIO_Si570.dll" I click OK and the LD1control start up displays -- click OK (everything looks good with new options).

BUT... if I go to HDSDR Options [F7], and select SDR TXsupport, I get this error...

Actual ExtIO DLL Does not support TX!

Because of this, I can not select any transmit Input or Output Soundcard connections.

I can use the LD1Control TX button and the red light comes on. I am not using the accessory plug ( I have the parts but not built it yet)

I have done this multiple times.

I know I'm probably not holding my tongue in the right place.

Anything obvious??
